I tend to think that religious milestones should be historic with an item that is relevant to the occasion. The gift should be enough to cover the cost of food and a little more. Requite what you can afford. Some other pick is to purchase something from a religious store such as a wall cross, etc. The gift should not crusade y'all a hardship. The family invited you considering they desire to celebrate with you. Take a keen fourth dimension.

Honestly, the one gift I got for Confirmation that I remember was a movie frame and a personalized message board. The frame held a flick of my sponsor (my cousin) and me and the board was something I kept until subsequently college when information technology finally fell apart later on existence moved around then much. Both were from my cousin. The Board was a simple cork lath with frame and had my name in wooden letters on the top (painted in fun colors). It was something that I used all the time and I never forgot why I got it (I became an "adult" in the Church - so I had to be responsible for my choices/actions while still having fun)

Rather than something expensive, detect something small or even brand something to commemorate the occasion. In our ward, the primary gives the children a white bath towel with their name embroidered on information technology. Information technology is something to make them feel special, but doesn't cost much in terms of money.

I got various gifts: baggage set, bathroom towel ready, necklace, clock, personalized photo frame, personalized Bible, cash, gift cards. Since I was going into a boarding highschool I got a lot of everyday necessities for the commencement of my new point in life.
Spend what y'all feel comfy with, family tends to spend more if they are a very religious family $fifty-$100, friends of the family usually under $xx unless you are a godparent of the child. Either way just spend what you tin can afford, information technology is not nearly how much is gotten or given but about the wonderful new point in their religion.

I would say give what you lot tin can. Since it is a confirmation, I would try to requite something that tin be remembered. An ID bracelet, a picture frame with their name on it, something not necessarily expensive, but personal. I hope this helps.

I'd say $20 would be typical. If the child is a daughter, peradventure a gift of earrings, cross necklace - something to keep. At that place are lots of confirmation themed picture frames in stores. One of the coolest gifts I ever got was a lined blank journal - the giver wrote a annotation to me on the beginning page, filled the side by side pages with some inspirational quotes she had collected through the years, and encouraged me to go along keeping track of quotes, etc. on the remaining pages.
